Videos From Stories

“Other People’s Problems,” which was published in 2023, is a collection of stray stories that I loved or needed completing. When I gathered the collection, I realized that what unified the stories was that they all featured people facing problems. Their situations were unique and ended in unexpected or humorous ways.

A few of these stories had been hanging around for some time. One of them, titled “Love” I posted as a Youtube video way back in 2019. Click HERE if you want to hear me read it to you.

Reading these stories is one of my favourite activities. I read at a book festival in Waterloo a few weeks ago and am going to a gathering this afternoon, in Waterloo, where twelve authors will present their work. On Wednesday this week, the artBar in Guelph has an open mic night I will attend. There is nothing more fun than hearing an audience react to your work.

However, videos are the next best thing. I can’t get to meet everyone personally and so Youtube will bring me into your space. Check it out.
